Essential Oil Guidance

Why Oils

How to Use

Essential Oils are plant based, nothing synthetic, making them readily bioavailable to our bodies.

For Essential Oils to be available for our use they are distilled from the plant.

  • Essential Oils protect the plant from disease and injury.

  • Essential oils come from leaves, stems, flowers, bark, trunk wood, resins and roots.

  • Essential oils are highly concentrated which isn't how they occur in the plant. Hence we use an extremely small amount, only drops, but we can use them often.

  • Some oils are called 'hot' oils and should be diluted with fractionated coconut oil or another carrier oil.

  • Avoid getting oils in your eyes, ears or any orifice other than your mouth using appropriate oils.

To Use Simply Begin

Only use Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Oils.

  • Aromatically: Purchase a good diffuser. Or use cotton balls with drops of oil or a few drops in your hand, rubbed together, cup your hands and take a deep smell.

  • Topically: Apply oils to bottoms of your feet for a whole body approach. Large pores in your feet absorb oils faster. Otherwise apply topically to a localized area, temples, back of neck, back, hands, tummy, legs or feet.

  • Internally: Put oil in a drink

like tea or coffee or water.         Put a few drops in a

     capsule. Or a drop under

     your tongue.

Sick bodies usually hamper brilliant thinking. When we are sick or injured our body's energy is diminished, emotionally and spiritually. It's very easy to slip into fearful imaginings, reciting our hopeless situation over and over again until we literally believe it. We need helpBy using essential oils we directly influence our body to heal itself at the cellular level.

Essential Oils support healthy cells and restore them to homeostasis (balance) even during times of poor nutrition or environmental threats.

  • Check Essential Oil for a Supplement Facts' label.

  • ONLY USE internally if the    bottle is so labeled

The Power of the Earth

Essential Oils are called "a gift of the earth." That's because they grow as plants.

Many essential oils are therapeutic. They support our physical bodies so our bodies can heal themselves. They support our minds and hearts to be free of fear.

Essential Oils:

  • cleanse

  • restore

  • nourish

 . . . . at the cellular level.

The Power of the Oils

All living things are vibrational. You and I are vibrational, plants and animals are all vibrational, they have a frequency that is measurable. Healthy human bodies vibrate at approx. 70 Hz. 1.Essential oils start at 52 Hz and go as high as 320 Hz, which is the frequency of rose oil.

"Clinical research shows that therapeutic grade essential oils have the highest frequency of any natural substance known to man, creating an environment in which disease, bacteria, virus, fungus, etc., cannot live.1."

Also the chemical constituents found in essential oils support our own chemistry. There are little to no side effects. Every chemical part of the oil works together creating effective and safe outcomes.

The Power of our Thoughts

You have heard: you are what you eat. You are also the creation of your thoughts and what you believe in your heart is true for you.

"As a man thinks in his heart so is he."

All true. Stay with me and we will discover why.

"If you think you can, you are right.

If you think you cannot, you are also right."

Essential Oils help cleanse our cells of cortisol, the fight and flight hormone, allowing happy hormones an opportunity to raise our thoughts to a higher vibration.

High frequency = Positive feeling, and influences outcomes. It is the   "I think I can" outcome.

of the Oils

Spices are from the root, stem, seed, fruit, or bark of the plant.
All of the spice oils’ most obvious use is in cooking

Spearmint is widely used in gums, candies, and dental products for its minty taste, and to promote fresh breath. Its sweet, refreshing aroma is cleansing and uplifting, making it ideal to evoke a sense of focus and positive mood.

The peppermint plant is a versatile perennial herb that has been cherished since ancient times. Peppermint essential oil continues to be one of doTERRA’s best-selling and highly-favored essential oils.

The most notable similarity between the six citrus essential oils is their ability to affect the emotions. Most of these oils, including Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Tangerine, and Wild Orange can help uplift your mood or your energy levels. On the other hand, Bergamot is calming and soothing to the emotions.

Have you ever smelled an herb garden or walked in a grassy field in spring? That’s precisely how many of the herbs and grass oils smell. Fresh and sharp, most oils here are usually middle notes. These include oils like Thyme, Rosemary, Basil, Patchouli, or Marjoram.

The common properties that the floral oils share include emotional benefits as well as benefits to the skin and hair. Lavender, Ylang Ylang, and Clary Sage have calming properties when you need stress-relief. To smooth or improve the appearance of skin, all you need is Geranium, Helichrysum, or Roman Chamomile. Clary Sage, Geranium, Roman Chamomile, or Ylang Ylang can all be added shampoo or conditioner (or massaged directly onto your scalp) to give your hair and scalp a healthy appearance.

The wood oils come from either the wood, the leaves and branches, or the resin of trees. This list includes Arborvitae, Cedarwood, Cypress, Douglas Fir, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Melaleuca (Tea tree), Myrrh, Petitgrain, Sandalwood (Hawaiian), Sandalwood (Indian), and White Fir. Many work well to calm and soothe skin. A few repel bugs and insects
